Sometimes, you find new features in tools that you are working with for years. Such a feature is to connect to serial ports of Virtual Machines with PuTTY. The last 6+ years, I’ve been using PuTTY and I never knew that this program had this feature.

Be sure that you have selected “This side is the server” and “The other end is an application” in your VM settings, otherwise this will not work.
